Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in landscape irrigation with a penchant for attention to detail. This position will require the candidate to be proficient in the day-to-day operation of both large and small commercial and residential irrigation systems, possess the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose said systems utilizing equipment designed for such tasks, the ability to gather information to estimate new installations, modifications, and small repairs. Candidate must also possess the ability to set and maintain schedules, properly and safely operate landscape/irrigation equipment, and the ability to adapt to multiple job functions.

Responsibilities for Position

• Qualified to operate all classifications of landscape vehicles and trailers
• Qualified in the performance of all irrigation specialty functions and utilization of diagnostic equipment
• Qualified to supervise all specialty job functions (e.g., ability to install low voltage lighting, irrigation system layout, installation, troubleshooting and service)
• Qualified to train crew members on how to perform all job functions
• Consistent at producing acceptable levels of quality and production
• Ability to navigate scheduling software with available technology
• Display positive leadership skills
• Supervise employees in order to satisfy customer needs and project schedules
• Read and understand record drawings/plans and be able to communicate the plan details to others when needed
• Order materials, hardware, small tools and consumables for installation and service
• Maintain large residential and commercial irrigation systems
• Must have working knowledge and experience with Toro Sentinel Program, Centralus and 2-wire systems
• Must be able to become certified to complete annual backflow testing
• Must be able to complete Charlotte Smart Water Program inspection reports
• Must be able to Communicate in English
• Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills
• Must have the ability to manage a crew
• Ability to read plans, follow instructions, and complete tasks
• Maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license
• Must be willing to participate in continuing education programs offered by the company where applicable

Qualifications - to be considered for this position, candidates must meet all the requirements. Compensation for this position will be an hourly wage based upon experience, contingent upon probationary periods, a salary with benefits will be negotiated.
